Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Hivelight Pty Ltd (ABN XX XXX XXX XXX) (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the Claim Cal service (“Service”) available at claimcal.com.au and app.claimcal.com.au.

We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and organisation name. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers.

Case data

Data you enter into Claim Cal (matter references, party names, calculation inputs and outputs) is stored in our database. We do not store medical records, health information, or documents — only the numerical inputs and outputs of calculations.

Usage data

We collect anonymised usage analytics (pages visited, features used) via Google Analytics 4 with cookie consent. We do not track individual calculation inputs in analytics.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To process payments via Stripe
  • To send transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets)
  • To send product updates and regulatory data notifications (with consent)
  • To improve the Service based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS ap-southeast-2, Sydney, Australia). All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Row-level security ensures your organisation’s data is isolated from all other organisations at the database level.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Supabase — database hosting and authentication
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Cloudflare — website hosting and CDN
  • Google Analytics — anonymised website analytics (with consent)

6. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to access and correct your personal information. You can export your data or request account deletion by contacting us at privacy@claimcal.com.au.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) are only loaded after you consent via our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email to registered users. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
